Responsibilities
- Own feature development end to end, including data modeling, testing, scalability, operability, and ongoing metrics.
- Develop and enhance eCommerce software on core technology platforms spanning Direct Commerce, Supply Chain, Galileo Sales and Marketing, and Demand Intelligence.
- Review peer code check-ins and help ensure high-quality software.
- Develop software in short iterations to deliver business value quickly.
- Support applications developed by the team.
- Participate in architectural discussions and validate requirements for platform improvements.
- Collaborate across engineering teams, lead brainstorming sessions, and elicit input from team members.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience developing software applications.
- Advanced Elixir programming skills and a strong understanding of database design and engineering.
- Strong familiarity with automated test frameworks and experience with automated testing and test-driven development.
- Experience with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with GitHub or similar source control and automated build tools.
- Experience running Agile teams and using tools such as Jira or Pivotal Tracker.
- Ability to rapidly prototype ideas, collaborate across engineering teams, and lead inclusive brainstorming sessions.
- Strong listening, teamwork, self-starting, and bias-for-action skills.
