Responsibilities
- Design and lead migrations from legacy or monolithic systems to reliable distributed payments services without disrupting production money movement.
- Build and maintain integrations with payment processors, banking rails, and card networks for deposits, withdrawals, and settlement.
- Partner with Product, Compliance, and Design to ship regulated features such as KYC/EDD, fraud checks, and reconciliation.
- Own correctness, reliability, auditability, and production on-call for money-movement systems.
- Mentor engineers, onboard new hires, and lead backlog grooming and technical-debt reduction.
- Collaborate with platform engineers to keep payments systems integrated with the broader exchange.
Requirements
- Senior-level backend engineering experience in payments, fintech, or financial-data integrations.
- Experience with payment processors such as Stripe, banking rails, or card networks.
- Proven experience leading migrations from legacy or monolithic systems to reliable distributed services using Go, gRPC, and DynamoDB/MySQL without disrupting production.
- Experience delivering regulated or high-stakes financial features including KYC/EDD, fraud checks, and reconciliation in partnership with Product, Compliance, and Design.
- Comfort owning production on-call for money-movement systems where correctness and auditability are critical.
- Experience mentoring engineers, onboarding new hires, and driving team processes such as backlog grooming and technical-debt reduction.
- Experience in crypto, prediction markets, or high-growth regulated fintech environments is a plus.
- Experience deploying systems in AWS or GCP and using containers is a plus.
