Base Salary

$95k - $192k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, integrate, and test embedded control systems for airborne gas turbine engines.
  • Define control-system requirements, behavior, and tests and translate customer needs into hardware and software component requirements.
  • Develop functional embedded software and safety-critical control systems compliant with applicable aerospace certification objectives.
  • Integrate hardware and software components within defined architectures.
  • Test embedded control systems at component, control-system, integrated-engine, and aircraft-vehicle levels.
  • Develop and modify processes and methods to support compliance objectives and development efficiency.
  • Set up and modify continuous integration and continuous deployment frameworks.
  • Liaise with certification and airworthiness authorities, demonstrate compliance, and close audit findings.

Requirements

  • Engineer I requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering (STEM) and 1+ years of relevant engineering experience, or a master's degree or PhD in Engineering (STEM) with relevant engineering experience.
  • Engineer II requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering (STEM) and 2+ years of relevant engineering experience, or a master's degree or PhD in Engineering (STEM) with relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience engineering safety-critical control systems with embedded software is required.
  • Familiarity with model-based system and software design using SysML and Simulink is required.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
  • Preferred qualifications include embedded safety-critical control-systems and software engineering, control-system and software architecture, ARP4754/DO-254/DO-178C-compliant development, product development lifecycles, system integration, component-level testing, and gas turbine engine controls.
  • Preferred technical experience includes Python, C, C++, Groovy, model-based development tools, and verification and testing frameworks such as Jenkins or Rapita.
