Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and execute functional, use-case, load, performance, and end-to-end test cases and scripts.
- Design and implement automated tests using SpecFlow and Gherkin.
- Build automation frameworks using Selenium and Python.
- Build and execute API automation test frameworks and scripts using Python and LocustIO.
- Investigate failed tests at the first level to identify root causes.
- Maintain testing environments, including integration environments, by deploying new releases.
- Collaborate continuously with geographically distributed teams in Ottawa, Austin, and Noida.
- Contribute to QA strategy, automation improvements, testing practices, frameworks, deployment, and monitoring topics.
- Validate user stories and create corresponding tasks within the project's development process.
- Archive validation source code in GitHub, maintain documentation in Confluence, and track tasks and issues in Jira.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience validating microservices or web applications on .NET or Java platforms.
- 5+ years of experience using Python, Selenium, and C# .NET scripting and validation tools.
- 4+ years of experience implementing automation tests with SpecFlow or a similar framework and Gherkin.
- 3 years of demonstrated experience using Jenkins for continuous integration.
- 2 years of API automation testing experience using Python, SoapUI, Postman, or similar tools.
- Experience with web services and web standards including SOAP, REST, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant field, including BE, B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, or an equivalent degree.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with strong authentication solutions using OTP or identity management is preferred.
- Experience with AWS or GCP and technologies such as OCP, Kubernetes, Helm, and Ansible is preferred.
- Experience in a SAFe environment and the ability to work independently are preferred.
