Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB solutions.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity prioritization, qualification, and pipeline-generation strategy.
- Own technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation for complex opportunities.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and support customer success and satisfaction.
- Relay field feedback to the product team and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
- Participate in ongoing product, technical, and professional development.
Requirements
- Ideally 8 to 11 years of related customer-facing experience, including 5 to 7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience reviewing complex application architectures and recommending technology improvements to customers.
- Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, and technical-business translation skills.
- Ability to strategize with sales teams and coordinate internal and ecosystem resources on account plans.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience selling databases, deploying applications with major cloud providers, database programming, data models, data engineering, AI/ML projects, legacy modernization, MongoDB, or cloud-provider certifications.
- Understanding of sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message is preferred.
