Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize high-quality, scalable software applications and frameworks.
- Support product delivery teams with technical guidance, documentation, code reviews, robust test suites, and best practices.
- Own product and framework performance within a defined area of focus and provide technical support across multiple applications.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to multiple teams, including mentoring junior engineers.
- Lead technical requirements discussions, software projects, proof-of-concepts, and technical tool adoption initiatives with minimal management guidance.
- Develop technical roadmaps, prioritize technical debt, and plan product features and work.
- Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex distributed-system problems quickly and effectively.
- Support application development and DevOps activities across the technology portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Expert experience with Python, distributed systems design or event-driven development, and pyramid testing methodologies.
- Expert experience with build and deployment automation using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
- Experience with AWS, SQL, Kafka-based publish/subscribe patterns, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and deployment automation.
- Expertise architecting secure and scalable financial systems, including data encryption, access controls, fraud detection, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience building and optimizing loan origination workflows covering application, credit assessment, funding, and portfolio management.
- Hands-on experience integrating financial platforms such as loan origination systems, ERP systems, and servicing systems.
- Experience maintaining and extending existing codebases, debugging and profiling distributed systems, and using Datadog, CloudWatch Logs, and distributed tracing frameworks.
- At least 8 years of experience.
