Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, debug, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns and developing standard operating procedures.
- Enhance applications and existing codebases through recommendations, design, and implementation.
- Conduct peer reviews, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional teams to implement technical designs.
- Investigate and apply relevant new technologies.
- Assist customer support with technical problems and questions.
- Lead work and mentor less experienced developers within project contexts.
- Translate AI innovation into business and productivity impact.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of Java full-stack development experience.
- At least 7 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments and Java Enterprise Edition.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 7 years of experience developing mission-critical, low-latency solutions for large business environments.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- React front-end development experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Experience integrating with event buses such as Pulsar is a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based big data solutions such as Snowflake is a plus.
- Experience with software security-enhancing tools and best practices.
- Knowledge of at least one shell scripting language.
- Understanding of big data and machine learning technologies and experience with cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains.
- Ability to work across business strategy, product strategy, technical design, and implementation levels.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills.
