Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support core banking applications on the AS400 platform.
- Develop and maintain local payment and bill payment functionality while ensuring system stability, performance, and availability.
- Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, QA teams, and project stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot and debug applications, and ensure compliance with coding standards.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of hands-on AS400 application development experience.
- Strong development experience in RPG and good working knowledge of DB2 on AS400.
- Hands-on experience with local payments and bill payment systems.
- Functional knowledge of either cash management/rate provision or GIRO and instant payment processing.
- Experience with code reviews, coding standards, troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical problem-solving.
- Experience in remittance applications, banking or financial services, and secure software development is preferred.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD implementation, ALDON, and ARCAD DevOps is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
