Base Salary
$230k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own frontend development across Sierra’s core product interface and customer-facing marketing pages
- Design, build, and maintain a scalable design system and reusable UI component library
- Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect interfaces with refined interactions and visual details
- Set standards for frontend performance, accessibility, internationalization, code quality, and cross-browser/device compatibility
- Make pragmatic engineering trade-offs while balancing speed, maintainability, user experience, and business impact
- Integrate frontend features with GraphQL APIs and occasionally update Go server-side code using gqlgen
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to create cohesive, high-quality user experiences
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production web interfaces with React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Strong design sense and demonstrated ability to create polished, pixel-perfect user interfaces
- Experience collaborating closely with designers and product managers
- Ability to own projects, work independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver quickly in a startup environment
- Solid understanding of backend fundamentals, including web APIs, databases, and servers
- Experience with Tailwind or similar modern CSS frameworks is preferred
- Design systems or component library experience, including work with Figma, is preferred
- UI/UX experience such as user research, visual design, or interaction design is preferred
- Exposure to AI or ML products, chat interfaces, analytics dashboards, or enterprise SaaS is preferred
- Experience with GraphQL, gqlgen, Relay, Go or other backend languages, and cloud platforms is preferred
- Prior experience as an early engineer at a startup or on a small team is preferred
