Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain user-facing features and backend services using React, TypeScript, and AWS services.
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using AWS CDK.
- Build, test, and manage scalable, performant, fault-tolerant serverless and container-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Optimize application performance and implement automated testing using Playwright.
- Conduct code reviews and promote technical feasibility, quality, best practices, and new technologies.
- Follow DevOps practices for continuous integration, delivery, testing, and deployment of high-quality code.
- Understand customer business processes and support team-centered Agile software development.
- Travel three to five times per year to College Board offices or for business purposes.
Requirements
- At least three years of recent, strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.
- Ideally seven or more years of experience building, testing, and managing web-based applications through full stack development.
- Experience with AWS cloud services, serverless architecture, and resources including Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, S3, Step Functions, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and DynamoDB.
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, information systems, or a similar field.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, learning, and technical leadership skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
