Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable, high-quality production software.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve coding hygiene, software applications, and system architecture.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications in production using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Contribute to engineering communities of practice, emerging technology initiatives, and an inclusive team culture.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of applied experience with Python software engineering concepts, supported by training or certification.
- Proficiency in Python and Java, with experience in one or more modern programming languages and database query languages.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, debugging, maintenance, and operational stability.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration, cloud-native development, and AWS services including EMR, Glue, ECS, and EKS.
- Preferred familiarity with modern API/UI technologies and additional cloud technologies.
