Base Salary
$82k - $172k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure for Azure Government environments.
- Configure and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, containers, storage, networking, and security controls.
- Integrate automated security scanning, vulnerability assessment, and compliance validation into deployment pipelines.
- Manage development, test, staging, and production environments for consistency and repeatable deployments.
- Monitor performance, availability, and security using tools such as Azure Monitor and Splunk; respond to incidents and implement remediation.
- Collaborate with Appian developers, DBAs, and security teams on deployment, performance tuning, and platform operations.
- Automate backup and recovery, patching, scaling, and configuration management tasks.
- Maintain deployment documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures and support release planning.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote automation best practices across delivery teams.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a Tier 2 background investigation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, with three additional years of relevant IT experience potentially accepted in lieu of the degree.
- At least five years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or systems administration, including at least two years supporting cloud-based applications.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts and services such as Azure or AWS.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Preferred experience with Azure Government Cloud, FedRAMP-authorized environments, Appian infrastructure, Docker, OpenShift, Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation, Ansible, configuration management, monitoring and observability tools, Git, database administration or performance tuning, and Federal modernization programs.
- Understanding of NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, ATO processes, Federal acquisition or financial management systems, and relevant Azure certifications is preferred.
