Responsibilities
- Build and ship the Ori CLI and its harness integrations.
- Implement model switching, provider fallbacks, model-specific tool and prompt settings, and organizational guardrails.
- Build the agent runtime, including sandboxed agents, secrets management, session management, compaction, and shareable agent skills.
- Enable agents to be deployed, forked, and shut down across laptop and cloud environments with version-controlled, auditable state.
- Own quality across installation, authentication, CLI UX, reliability, observability, and evaluations.
- Feed product gaps back into OpenRouter’s APIs and SDKs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience shipping production software with ownership of developer tools, CLIs, agent products, or related infrastructure.
- Daily fluency with coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi, or Hermes.
- Understanding of tool calling, context management, prompt caching, evaluations, and model cost, latency, and quality tradeoffs.
- Systems judgment around sandboxing, process isolation, secrets, and reliability across many users.
- Ability to work with high agency, communicate with users, prototype, ship, and iterate on a small team.
- Strong product taste for developer tools and attention to user interaction details.
