Responsibilities
- Lead the development of services or products as part of an Agile team.
- Write, test, debug, and deliver production-quality code, primarily in Java with some Python or other languages.
- Lead automation of development workflows, including builds, testing, deployments, test environments, test data, and framework development.
- Create high-level product specifications, design documents, and architectural blueprints.
- Guide and assist the development team throughout implementation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve coding and design issues.
- Ensure completed products are functional and meet requirements.
- Update software solutions as required.
- Train and oversee development team activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine software requirements and build effective working relationships.
- Measure service health and performance and contribute to shared infrastructure.
- Lead the technical vision through successful delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience developing enterprise-grade software and services.
- Strong hands-on Java experience, preferably with Spring Boot, plus familiarity with Python or similar languages.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Strong understanding of React, Angular, or Vue and full-stack development concepts.
- At least 2 years of experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and architecting complex, scalable systems.
- Proven experience as a lead engineer or designer for high-volume, distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation tools.
- Strong knowledge of database design and data modeling for SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and influence decisions.
- Preferred qualities include an Agile/DevOps mindset, passion for high-quality code, continuous improvement, communication, and collaboration.
