Responsibilities

  • Lead client implementations across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments from requirements gathering through working Seqera Platform deployments.
  • Deploy platform environments and compute infrastructure, including networking, DNS, TLS, private certificate authorities, IAM, secrets, container runtimes, and storage.
  • Guide client IT teams through implementation changes when direct account access is limited, while respecting security and compliance requirements.
  • Build repeatable and safe deployment tools with pre-flight checks, clear failures, tests, and documentation.
  • Partner with Sales and Scientific Development on solution design and proof-of-concept deployments.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point and turn recurring client problems into lasting fixes with internal teams.
  • Provide technical onboarding, explain complex infrastructure topics to varied audiences, and elicit requirements in ambiguous situations.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP; multi-cloud experience is advantageous.
  • Confidence with networking, TLS and certificate management, IAM, access control, and client security and compliance constraints.
  • Hands-on Terraform experience; CloudFormation, Pulumi, or Ansible familiarity is a bonus.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; Helm experience is a strong plus.
  • Ability to build and ship maintainable tools using Python and Bash, including testing, scanning, and documentation.
  • Understanding of workflow engines operating against remote compute, storage, and container runtimes.
  • Experience with technical onboarding, pre-sales, requirements elicitation, and client-facing delivery.
  • Ability to work independently, research unfamiliar problems, explain technical concepts clearly, and collaborate through disagreements.
  • Life sciences, bioinformatics, scientific computing, technical pre-sales, Nextflow, or startup experience is preferred.
  • A public code repository and a short narrative describing capabilities, growth, and responsible use of AI are required for application.
