Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate cross-team delivery as the technical primary for complex platform features.
- Design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD platforms, deployment pipelines, GitOps workflows, and self-service capabilities.
- Support production SaaS environments with attention to operability, security, performance, scalability, availability, and compliance.
- Implement platform automation and tooling using Go, Python, and Shell/Bash.
- Troubleshoot complex production platform and infrastructure issues, resolve defects, and recommend solutions.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and metrics for platform health, cloud usage, and costs.
- Drive reliability, process improvement, cost optimization, monitoring, and incident-response initiatives.
- Apply IAM, role-based access control, network security, vulnerability management, environment isolation, and cloud-governance practices.
- Lead or mentor platform and infrastructure engineers and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent related discipline in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure automation, or a related field; the required-skills section specifies 6+ years with public-cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating public-cloud infrastructure with GCP, AWS, or Azure, with GCP preferred.
- Strong Terraform experience, including modules, layered architecture, state management, and remote backends.
- Experience with Ansible, GKE or AKS, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions, and automation tooling.
- Experience developing automation solutions using Python, Bash, Go, or similar scripting languages.
- Understanding of IAM, networking, security, cloud governance, identity providers, secrets management, and operational reliability trade-offs.
- Experience troubleshooting complex production platform and infrastructure issues.
- Experience with CI/CD, image automation, artifact management, GitOps, monitoring, alerting, patching, and incident response.
- Experience mentoring engineers, defining technical direction, breaking down epics, and driving delivery across teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to collaborate across engineering, product, security, and customer-success teams.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum practices; Windows Server administration and Kinaxis product knowledge are assets.
- Nice-to-have experience includes GCP Landing Zone or Azure enterprise-scale architecture, NetApp CVS, Capsule multi-tenancy, Trivy, SBOM, cosign, RapidResponse, Aptly, WSUS, EFT, Syncovery, and Postfix.
