Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Remote Eligible in the UK)

Responsibilities
- Lead complex, multi-system AI deployments end-to-end, including scoping, architecture, implementation, validation, and customer relationship management.
- Own and customize the AI workshop program for the assigned pod and translate workshop outputs into production requirements.
- Architect multi-agent solutions and select coordination patterns based on customer workflows and compliance requirements.
- Design client-specific and industry-specific MCP resource packs that provide personalized intelligence to connected AI surfaces.
- Own the quality and documentation of Deployment Kits for solutions consultants and partners.
- Lead Solutions Enablement Sprints, including training materials and certification criteria.
- Drive the intelligence loop through strategic memos, weekly field presentations, Agent Bricks and Skills contributions, and platform RFCs.
- Mentor junior FDEs through customer engagements, code reviews, and Deployment Kit development.
Requirements
- 6–10+ years of production software engineering experience, including 3+ years deploying AI/ML systems to production.
- Deep Python expertise and strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills.
- Proven experience leading complex enterprise technical engagements, managing customer relationships, navigating security reviews, and delivering production systems.
- Deep production LLM experience with multi-agent orchestration, MCP/tool use, RAG optimization, evaluation frameworks, and large-scale agent deployment.
- System architecture expertise across enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, and AI services.
- Experience creating reusable technical assets such as architecture documents, runbooks, strategic memos, training materials, and Deployment Kits.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to CIOs, junior engineers, solutions consultants, and partners.
- Ability to mentor junior forward-deployed engineers and improve team ownership of delivered systems.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience founding or scaling an FDE or solutions engineering function is preferred.
- Technical founder experience and experience with Databricks, AWS Bedrock, or Temporal are preferred.
- Healthcare, financial services, or government domain expertise is preferred.
- Agent framework contributions involving Strands SDK, LangChain, or open-source MCP servers are preferred.
- German or French proficiency and familiarity with AI governance, ethics, GDPR, and the UK/EU AI Act are advantageous.
