Responsibilities

Design and evolve core systems supporting trading, market operations, and regulatory obligations.
Lead solution architecture design and development across multiple large-scale projects.
Represent and champion solution architecture in governance forums and with stakeholders.
Produce technical solution designs, functional specifications, and other technical documentation.
Collaborate with business analysis, delivery, infrastructure, IT service ownership, quality engineering, solution engineering, and testing functions.
Ensure solutions leverage internal enterprise platforms and vendor IT solutions while aligning with enterprise strategy and architecture principles.
Partner with engineering teams to ensure delivered systems align with technology strategy, software integrity, and reusability principles.
Participate in the Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture Community of Practice.

Experience architecting mission-critical, high-transaction-volume environments.
Experience with markets trading in a financial-services environment.
Demonstrated communication, customer-perspective, stakeholder-management, and collaborative architecture-definition skills.
Experience developing solution architectures in hybrid legacy and cloud environments, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
Experience across the full software development lifecycle using traditional and agile methodologies.
Experience developing non-functional requirements for new or uplifted solutions.
Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
Understanding of networking infrastructure supporting low-latency, high-throughput trading environments is desirable.
Legacy technology strategy and architecture experience is desirable.
Cloud architecture and cloud-native design experience is desirable.
Analytical capability applied to complex programs of work is desirable.
Experience with a fully integrated exchange environment is highly beneficial.
Experience executing high-impact, enterprise-wide strategic programs and initiatives is desirable.
Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Australia permanently without restrictions.
