Responsibilities
- Grow API compatibility with the Supabase client.
- Enhance the Supabase stack for SQLite.
- Build and harden the upgrade path from Supabase Lite to full Supabase.
- Own the developer experience including CLI, local tooling, and documentation.
- Develop a hosted offering on a scale-to-zero, near-zero-cost basis.
- Collaborate with design partners to improve product integration.
- Engage with the open-source community and contribute to the Supabase stack.
Requirements
- Substantial backend or full-stack experience with strong fluency in TypeScript.
- Experience building or contributing to a backend system or developer platform.
- Ability to read and understand unfamiliar code across different languages.
- Solid grounding in SQL and relational databases.
- Strong focus on compatibility and correctness with a testing mindset.
- Ability to simplify complex systems and find efficient solutions.
- Passion for developer experience and clean APIs.
- Comfortable with ambiguous, early-stage work and remote collaboration.
- Clear written communication skills.
- Bonus: experience with the Supabase stack or open-source maintenance.
