Responsibilities
- Drive adoption of Fin by helping prospects use Intercom’s AI capabilities to automate and scale customer support.
- Embed with strategic customers to understand business challenges and technical requirements.
- Code alongside customers’ technical teams and deliver projects through completion.
- Collaborate with Sales, Success, Product, R&D, and Go-to-Market teams to support delivery and provide product feedback.
- Codify best practices and share customer insights to help scale the Forward Deployed Software Engineering function.
Requirements
- Strong engineering background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
- Experience building a SaaS product with real-world usage; startup or founder experience is a bonus.
- Interest in AI/ML and ability to understand novel problems, capabilities, architectures, trade-offs, and limitations.
- Strong coding ability and deep knowledge of at least one high-level programming language, such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
- Ability to prototype and ship software quickly while maintaining quality and focus on business outcomes.
- Proficiency in using and writing REST APIs for system integration.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site with customers.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.
