Base Salary
$116k - $191k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop automated testing suites and frameworks for Roche digital pathology algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leads to align work scope and release timelines.
- Analyze data to confirm technical performance specifications and scientific accuracy of image-processing algorithms.
- Troubleshoot test failures and report identified issues.
- Develop, evaluate, and integrate AI tools and SDKs to improve software development workflows and test automation.
- Build reusable and scalable data-analysis libraries for component and end-to-end verification.
- Participate in requirements, architecture, and design specification reviews.
- Assist with dry-run and formal verification testing.
- Follow software development lifecycle procedures and software engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 4 years of professional experience with Python or an equivalent scripting language.
- Experience or knowledge in Java, JavaScript, C++, object-oriented programming, software architecture, networking, distributed systems, and/or UNIX/NT development.
- Preferred experience with software development in test, test automation frameworks, CI/CD tools, cloud technologies, and container management technologies.
- Proficiency using generative AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, and GitHub Copilot for scripting, debugging, and test generation.
- Experience with Agile software development and software engineering best practices.
- Experience recruiting, building, and coaching high-performing engineering teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Benefits
- Expected annual salary range is USD 116,100–190,785 for the primary California location.
- A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.
