Responsibilities
- Design and develop technology in collaboration with U.S. engineering teams and initiatives.
- Contribute to team roadmaps, technology direction, European engineering team development, and company culture.
- Devise creative solutions for technical and business challenges.
- Rapidly iterate on products while maintaining engineering practices that ensure quality and security.
- Work with complex data pipelines and data processing tools.
- Develop knowledge of UK healthcare data sources, security, privacy, information governance requirements, and emerging trends.
- Partner with oncologists, clinicians, product leaders, quantitative scientists, and customers to understand challenges and develop technology solutions.
Requirements
- 1–4 years of relevant professional experience as a software engineer.
- Experience with agile development environments and object-oriented programming languages such as Python, C#, and SQL, with willingness to learn additional languages.
- Some experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake.
- Ability to act as a domain expert and partner with product teams.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to sophisticated non-technical audiences.
- Fluency in English.
- Preferred qualifications include UK healthcare experience, a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. in computer science or a related field, and experience in data engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or security engineering.
