Responsibilities

Explore new database technologies to enhance Postgres capabilities.
Design and develop Postgres extensions for Snowflake’s offerings.
Implement novel query optimization and transaction management algorithms.
Address distributed systems challenges including protocol design and fault-tolerance.
Analyze performance bottlenecks and deliver effective solutions.
Own the end-to-end delivery of projects from design to production rollout.
Collaborate with product groups across different time zones.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years of software engineering experience in high-performance software.
Experience with Postgres internals and its extension framework.
Strong fundamentals in computer science and databases, including SQL and distributed systems.
Fluency in C is preferred.
Motivation to learn and deliver innovative solutions.
Proven track record in high-velocity engineering teams.
