Base Salary
$230k - $385k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and guide architecture and implementation across the Presence platform.
- Design and build backend systems for reliable, high-volume AI-agent workflows.
- Develop platform capabilities supporting agent development and learning from real-world use.
- Identify and resolve reliability bottlenecks as workflows and usage scale.
- Work across backend infrastructure and product experiences to deliver software from evolving requirements.
Requirements
- 9+ years of professional engineering experience, excluding internships, in backend, platform, or product engineering roles.
- Hands-on technical leadership experience, including architecture, implementation planning, and guiding engineers through delivery.
- Deep backend engineering and systems-design skills with proficiency in at least one backend programming language.
- Experience designing reliable services, data models, and interfaces that scale with usage.
- End-to-end ownership of complex systems or product capabilities from requirements through production iteration.
- Strong production engineering judgment involving failure diagnosis, performance, scalability, testing, observability, and reliability.
- Ability to balance delivery speed, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability.
- Ability to contribute across backend infrastructure and product experiences and learn unfamiliar systems and domains.
- Clear technical communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
- Experience with AI agents, enterprise workflows, integrations, or agent development and evaluation is a plus.
