Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain API-driven microservices that manage the full lifecycle of PostgreSQL database clusters.
- Build secure automation for database provisioning, scaling, patching, failover, and decommissioning.
- Enhance monitoring, alerting, observability, durability, fault tolerance, and auto-remediation capabilities.
- Support highly available platform infrastructure and services used by critical Apple workloads.
- Design, build, and maintain services that operate reliably at scale.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Experience building highly available software services or platform infrastructure.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining API-driven microservices.
- Proficiency in Python or optionally Java, Kotlin, or C/C++.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: experience with AWS or GCP cloud APIs, relational databases, PostgreSQL internals, PaaS or DBaaS at scale, and observability platforms such as Prometheus/Grafana or Splunk.
- Preferred: experience with AI/ML tooling, including LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, AI agent frameworks, or integrating ML inference into production services.
