Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality, secure, and reliable iOS features for Sun Life financial services applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, offshore, and third-party teams while serving as a technical reference and coaching junior iOS developers.
- Participate in Agile and Scrum ceremonies to plan, estimate, design, develop, test, and deploy production features.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and development best practices.
- Write unit and integration tests and troubleshoot, profile, debug, and optimize iOS applications.
- Create and release complex iOS applications to the App Store and evaluate new technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent education/experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with native iOS mobile development, including continuous integration and automation.
- Experience with MVVM or VIPER architecture patterns and production application implementation.
- Proficiency in SwiftUI and experience building, debugging, profiling, optimizing, and managing memory in iOS applications.
- Experience with DevOps practices, continuous integration and deployment, version control, automated testing, and Agile Scrum ceremonies.
- Ability to write maintainable unit and integration tests using XCTest or Swift Testing; familiarity with TDD or BDD.
- Understanding of mobile UX, iOS Human Interface Guidelines, application security, secure data storage, encryption, and authentication.
- Experience with RESTful web services, HTTP, JSON/XML, UIKit, Storyboards, Combine, async/await, RxSwift, or backend development is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Splunk, Artifactory, Java, Spring Boot, and AI-powered development tools is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, organizational, and time-management skills; English is required and French is an asset.
