Base Salary
$129k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship features across the core platform, healthcare integration API, and provider-facing SaaS product.
- Write clean, well-tested, production-ready code with guidance from senior engineers.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture conversations.
- Debug and investigate distributed-system issues.
- Contribute to indirect integrations with electronic health record systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to scope, plan, and deliver projects end to end.
- Develop through mentorship, technical stretch assignments, and exposure to systems design and architecture.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience demonstrating strong computer science fundamentals.
- 0–2 years of professional software engineering experience; internships, co-ops, and meaningful open-source contributions count.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented or functional programming concepts.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language; Ruby, Python, Go, or Java experience is a plus.
- Comfort working with relational databases and understanding query performance.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, curiosity, and willingness to learn complex healthcare infrastructure.
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes is a bonus.
- Experience with API design, webhooks, third-party integrations, healthcare technology, HL7, or FHIR is a bonus.
- Prior startup or fast-paced product experience is a bonus.
