Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support microservices for enterprise platforms.
- Build Kafka-based event-driven services, asynchronous processing components, APIs, backend services, and batch and streaming applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts and architects to address scalability, resiliency, performance, and non-functional requirements.
- Perform performance testing, tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization across application, database, and messaging layers.
- Support production deployments, monitoring, incident resolution, resiliency, failover, and disaster recovery efforts.
- Write unit and integration tests and improve CI/CD automation, release processes, and observability practices.
Requirements
- Require 3–5 years of software engineering experience, preferably in backend or distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- Require strong experience with Enterprise Java, Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, backend services, distributed system design, resiliency, and fault tolerance.
- Require hands-on Apache Kafka experience, including producers, consumers, topics, and partitions, plus understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing.
- Require strong experience with PostgreSQL or Aurora PostgreSQL and knowledge of SQL optimization, indexing, performance tuning, data modeling, and large-volume data handling.
- Require experience with Docker and familiarity with Kubernetes or OpenShift; AWS exposure is preferred.
- Require familiarity with Maven, Liquibase or similar database migration tools, secure coding practices, CI/CD pipelines, production support operations, and observability practices.
- Experience with Redis, resiliency patterns such as retry, DLQ, and idempotency, and cloud-native deployment strategies is beneficial.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills are required.
