Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of features and enhancements from technical design through deployment and post-release feedback.
- Own multiple concurrent Client Success Team initiatives with clear stakeholder communication and accountability.
- Design and implement full-stack solutions across backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and frontend components.
- Build and maintain ETL processes for data ingestion, validation, transformation, reporting, and SFTP/API integrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements, define acceptance criteria, and quantify business value.
- Contribute to technical scoping, effort estimation, ranking, and prioritisation.
- Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across Horizon components.
- Mentor teammates and promote high standards for code quality, documentation, testing, and delivery.
- Present technical solutions, trade-offs, and implementation roadmaps in stakeholder and client meetings.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional Python software development experience.
- A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong Python experience in data processing and financial applications.
- Full-stack development experience across backend services, APIs, databases, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and integrations involving APIs, SFTP, and structured market or portfolio datasets.
- Experience leading small-to-medium software projects with strong ownership and accountability.
- Exposure to financial markets, including foreign exchange and interest rate products.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and financial concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Preferred: experience with financial risk management software or platforms, market data integration, trade lifecycle systems, portfolio analytics, risk modelling, pricing, financial analytics, or client-facing consultative technology roles.
- Preferred: MSc degree in a STEM field.
