Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain custom applications using PTC Creo Toolkit and C/C++.
- Develop integrations between Creo Parametric and PTC Windchill using Windchill APIs and services.
- Create automated engineering workflows, custom user interfaces, and CAD productivity tools.
- Develop solutions for CAD data, metadata, attributes, configurations, and lifecycle process management.
- Support Model-Based Definition, digital thread, and digital engineering initiatives.
- Gather requirements from engineering and business stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot Creo customizations, Windchill integrations, and CAD data management issues.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and software quality initiatives.
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment procedures, and user guides.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to engineering systems and workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least five years of hands-on development experience with PTC Creo Parametric and Creo Toolkit.
- Experience with Creo surface creation and editing.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++.
- Experience developing custom Creo commands, menus, dialogs, event handlers, and automation.
- Experience integrating Creo applications with PTC Windchill.
- Working knowledge of Windchill Java APIs, REST services, query and data access frameworks, and workflow and lifecycle APIs.
- Understanding of CAD data management and PLM best practices.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and software development lifecycle experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Windchill customization and server-side development, Creo Parametric use, Java, JavaScript, Python, or C# experience.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering, digital thread, digital twin concepts, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Experience in maritime, offshore, manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial engineering environments is preferred.
