Responsibilities
- Design MongoDB schemas, data models, and shared clusters for scalable applications.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query-plan analysis, aggregation tuning, connection management, and workload profiling.
- Design and operate MongoDB replication, high-availability, failover, sharding, and multi-region architectures.
- Develop data ingestion and processing pipelines and integrate MongoDB with backend applications.
- Design, build, validate, and manage backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery solutions.
- Automate database operations, health checks, and diagnostics using Linux administration and scripting.
- Integrate MongoDB with deployment and infrastructure automation practices.
- Resolve technical escalations and develop the technical capabilities of Production Specialists.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with MongoDB in enterprise production environments, including design, deployment, and operational support.
- 8+ years of experience designing and operating MongoDB replication and high-availability patterns.
- 8+ years of experience implementing and managing MongoDB sharding for large datasets and high-throughput applications.
- 8+ years of experience in MongoDB performance tuning, including index design, query-plan analysis, aggregation optimization, connection/session management, and workload profiling.
- 8+ years of experience applying distributed-systems tradeoffs involving consistency models, replication lag, failure isolation, and multi-region architecture.
- 8+ years of experience with backup and recovery tooling, restore validation, and disaster-recovery exercises aligned to RPO/RTO targets.
- 8+ years of experience with Linux administration and Bash and/or Python scripting.
- 8+ years of experience integrating MongoDB with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation practices.
- 8+ years of experience with MongoDB drivers, connection pooling, ORM/ODM usage patterns, and transaction semantics.
