Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate scalable software services.
- Build and support highly available, distributed infrastructure across regions and Availability Zones.
- Solve complex software problems, remove bottlenecks, and make short-term versus long-term technical trade-offs.
- Lead large projects by dividing work across engineers and coordinating cohesive launches.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to maintain secure advertising services.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, stand-ups, and agile delivery.
- Author technical narratives for audiences across Amazon.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
