Responsibilities
- Own testing for assigned features across web, API, integration, and regression scenarios.
- Design and execute functional, exploratory, integration, and regression testing.
- Build and maintain automated tests using Playwright and modern testing practices.
- Validate REST APIs, integrations, and end-to-end workflows.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, UX, and DevOps to define acceptance criteria and identify quality risks.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, story reviews, and release validation.
- Investigate defects using logs, monitoring data, and cloud-based application tools.
- Improve test coverage, automation reliability, and release confidence.
- Support automated and AI-assisted quality engineering practices and promote shared quality ownership.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.
- Hands-on experience testing SaaS, web, or cloud-based applications.
- Strong experience with API, UI, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Hands-on test automation experience using Playwright or Selenium.
- Experience testing REST APIs and integrations.
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java in a test automation context.
- Experience working in Agile development teams and CI/CD environments.
- Ability to balance manual testing with improving automation coverage.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes AWS, CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, GitLab, SQL, distributed or event-driven systems, media or content platforms, performance or load testing, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, and AI-assisted testing tools.
