Responsibilities
- Develop deep working knowledge of Trilogie’s architecture and functionality.
- Design and build software that automates, improves, or changes business processes.
- Own projects end-to-end from planning through implementation under Ferguson’s Software Development Lifecycle.
- Partner with Business Systems Analysts and Product Owners to clarify requirements and design scalable solutions.
- Design scalable application environments with the Administration Team.
- Collaborate with third-party software providers to meet Ferguson’s business needs.
- Write unit tests, perform peer code reviews, and provide accurate estimates.
- Contribute to a collaborative, shared-learning environment.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with UniBasic or another Pick-based language.
- Experience building interactive screens and phantom processes.
- Experience integrating applications with APIs or web services.
- Experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
- Experience designing dictionaries for multi-valued file systems and working with multi-level files and triggers.
- Experience developing and tuning code for performance in multi-server, high-transaction environments.
- Preferred experience includes complex UniQuery statements, GitHub, DevOps practices and tooling, Python, quality assurance, Unix, Linux, Excel, data manipulation, and relational databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
