Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and establish best practices and reference architectures for a group of more than 30 Forward Deployed Engineers.
- Translate customer AI use cases into precise specifications and efficient Agentic AI solutions using the ServiceNow AI Platform and other AI tools.
- Decompose work into agent-sized tasks and direct AI coding agents to generate, modify, and refactor production code across multiple files and services.
- Design and maintain system prompts, agent configurations, instruction files, architectural decision records, glossaries, golden examples, and agent-readable documentation.
- Evaluate software for correctness, specification adherence, security, performance, maintainability, edge-case handling, failure modes, and concurrency.
- Make architectural and sequencing decisions, determine when to delegate work to agents, and ensure solutions fit the broader system.
- Own end-to-end production quality, security, and reliability by integrating changes safely, monitoring production, addressing prompt injection and secret leakage risks, and improving specifications and evaluation sets.
Requirements
- 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; or 12 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 8 years of experience; equivalent practical experience is also accepted.
- Demonstrated experience building, shipping, and operating production software using AI-native methods, agentic coding tools, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Hands-on experience working with customers to deploy AI as a Forward Deployed Engineer.
- Strong command of data structures, algorithms, system design, testing, and modern software development practices.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts including model training and evaluation, embeddings, probabilistic and non-deterministic LLM outputs, and deep learning failure modes.
- Practical proficiency with agentic coding tools, AI-assisted development workflows, agent architectures, and tool-use patterns.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating autonomous agent systems with planning loops, dynamic tool invocation, memory management, execution policies, and multi-agent collaboration.
- Experience designing context-engineering systems that control what information models receive, when it is retrieved, and how context evolves over time.
- Advanced degrees and relevant certifications are a plus but do not replace demonstrated ability to ship reliable software with AI-native practices.
