Responsibilities
- Build and prototype full-stack AI/ML applications and agentic systems on Cloudera for enterprise use cases.
- Partner directly with strategic customer teams to move AI and agentic use cases from prototypes toward production readiness.
- Advise technical and executive customer leaders on AI roadmaps, solution design, deployment, and use cases.
- Design scalable enterprise AI architectures aligned with security, governance, and compliance standards.
- Codify successful approaches into reference architectures, productized solutions, starter kits, and internal playbooks.
- Mentor Cloudera teams, contribute to internal enablement, and relay customer and field feedback to Product teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building and deploying production-grade systems, including 2–4 years building ML systems or GenAI/agentic applications.
- Strong hands-on software engineering, data engineering, and applied AI/ML skills with experience building full-stack ML applications or agentic systems.
- Experience with foundation models, context engineering, fine-tuning, semantic search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and agentic workflows.
- Deep understanding of LLMOps/MLOps practices including evaluation, observability, serving, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Experience designing scalable enterprise AI solution architectures and working with technical and executive customer audiences.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, the Cloudera platform, open-source big data technologies, and AI infrastructure is advantageous.
- Experience with Spark, Iceberg, NiFi, NVIDIA GPUs, inference optimization, model serving, or distributed AI workloads is advantageous.
- Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous customer environments and enable others through mentorship or reusable tooling.
