Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research and test emerging AI technologies and translate viable capabilities into measurable business value.
- Critically evaluate whether business problems are appropriate for AI solutions.
- Build backend services, data layers, business logic, APIs, and web frontend features.
- Deploy and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases and application storage.
- Develop automated tests covering functions, services, objects, integrations, devices, and browsers.
- Deploy applications to cloud platforms and troubleshoot application, cloud, and configuration issues.
- Use code- and test-generation tools to accelerate feature delivery.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary and matrixed teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend or full-stack development experience.
- Experience with Python application development, AWS, database systems, SQL, and the Python build, test, and deployment ecosystem.
- Understanding of foundation-model integration, including tooling and instrumentation, feature and model selection, RAG patterns, fine-tuning, deep learning, and training or algorithm concepts.
- Practical experience designing API backends and integrating and consuming APIs in frontend projects.
- Ability to independently take a basic application from idea through delivery and design scalable technical architectures.
- Demonstrated systems thinking, critical problem-solving, adaptability, and ability to work through ambiguous requirements.
- Familiarity with large language model application patterns, AI-generated content technologies, secured internal networks, and complex cloud network environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across diverse teams in a large matrixed organization.
