Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research and test emerging AI technologies and translate their capabilities into measurable business ROI.
- Critically evaluate whether proposed business problems are appropriate for AI solutions.
- Build backend business logic and data layers using API standards, NBCUniversal gateways, and established patterns.
- Deploy and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases and storage systems.
- Design features spanning application user interfaces through underlying APIs.
- Develop automated tests for functions, services, and objects, including cross-device and cross-browser validation.
- Deploy applications to cloud platforms and troubleshoot application, cloud, and configuration issues.
- Use code- and test-generation tools to accelerate feature and component delivery.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and navigate a matrixed organization to deliver solutions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend or full-stack development experience demonstrated through a comprehensive portfolio and related experience.
- Experience with Python application development, AWS, database systems, and SQL.
- Experience with the Python ecosystem and tools for build, testing, and deployment.
- Deep understanding of machine learning practices for foundation-model integration, including tooling and instrumentation, feature or model selection, RAG patterns, and some fine-tuning, deep learning, and training or algorithm concepts.
- Practical experience integrating and consuming APIs in frontend projects.
- Ability to independently take a basic application from idea through delivery with cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to design and implement scalable technical architectures and solve ambiguous, systemic problems.
- Preferred familiarity with secured internal networks, complex cloud network environments, large language model integration, AI-generated content technologies, and LangChain.
- Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
