Responsibilities
- Own Android product features end-to-end from discovery and technical design through implementation, rollout, and iteration.
- Drive technical decisions with Product, Design, and Backend while balancing user experience, performance, security, and time-to-market.
- Improve mobile architecture, performance, reliability, maintainability, and testing strategy.
- Address real-time synchronization, resilience patterns, and navigation challenges in a modular codebase of approximately 1,000 modules.
- Lead code reviews and technical discussions, share engineering patterns, and mentor peers.
- Collaborate within a squad of 5 to 10 people and contribute to Qonto’s broader mobile engineering community.
Requirements
- Strong native Android experience with production Kotlin features and end-to-end technical ownership.
- Experience making technical decisions and solving complex problems under ambiguous constraints.
- Commitment to unit, UI, and snapshot testing, clean code, and pragmatic engineering standards.
- Daily use of AI coding tools to enhance engineering output.
- Fluent English communication and willingness to contribute through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.
- Ability to live in or relocate to Germany, France, Italy, Serbia, Portugal, or Spain.
