Responsibilities
- Deploy, integrate, and support automation and scripting solutions for network and firewall appliances.
- Build Ansible code using REST APIs to configure, monitor, and analyze network and firewall appliances.
- Write and maintain Python scripts and troubleshooting code using automation frameworks.
- Identify network operations use cases for automation and improve configuration efficiency across data centers and offices.
- Create reports, graphs, dashboards, logging, and monitoring from NetFlow, sFlow, J-Flow, flowd, and IPFIX data.
- Create runbooks, user guides, technical support guides, and Methods of Procedure.
- Participate in after-hours or weekend emergency support, service-impacting incident resolution, and maintenance windows.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in a DevOps capacity, including configuration automation and remote network management.
- Ability to write basic scripts in Python or Bash.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for simple internal network forms and templates.
- Familiarity with configuration management and templating tools.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and HTTPS requests.
- Basic Git experience, including pulling, committing, and pushing code.
- Basic understanding of Flask and web frameworks for lightweight applications and REST endpoints.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with SQLite or PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP.
- Knowledge and experience using Linux systems.
- Experience with open-source software and service management tools such as OpenStack, OpenShift, Zabbix, JIRA, Confluence, and Jenkins.
