Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable PHY and calibration software modules on multicore DSP/GPP platforms using C/C++.
- Define unit-test vectors using MATLAB and C++, and extensively test software modules.
- Test and validate software-module performance on real wireless systems.
- Develop scripts to qualify RF board testing.
- Develop software for base-station and user-equipment platforms and collaborate with L2/L3 software and FPGA/ASIC teams on cross-layer features.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with an emphasis on wireless communication and/or digital signal processing.
- 5–12 years of industry experience developing DSP software for wireless communication systems such as 5G, LTE, WiFi, or proprietary protocols.
- Formal understanding of communication and signal-processing theory, OFDM systems, and linear algebra.
- Experience with array signal processing, beamforming, MIMO, physical/MAC/baseband software, adaptive equalization, receiver synchronization, signal identification, or recovery.
- Strong C, C++, and Python programming skills.
- Experience developing software for multicore embedded systems, including RTOS, memory and cycle optimization, caches, multithreading, inter-process communication, and hardware/software interaction.
- Experience with RFIC impairment compensation, multi-antenna calibration, or advanced wireless-communications algorithms.
- Experience with version-control, issue-tracking, and collaboration systems, including Git, Gerrit, GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
