Responsibilities
- Design, modify, and develop complex Java and React software for the ARMS platform.
- Build, enhance, deploy, and support Spring Boot microservices, APIs, and partner integrations.
- Improve user interfaces, application performance, system quality, and rental workflow reliability.
- Perform requirements analysis, research, testing, code reviews, defect resolution, and production troubleshooting.
- Mentor teammates, drive development standards, and collaborate with production support, business partners, product teams, engineering teams, and modernization teams.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation after becoming sufficiently familiar with the system.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software development experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor, and non-blocking APIs.
- At least 2 years of experience with TypeScript, React Hooks, Context API, Redux, component-driven architecture, SASS, LESS, and SCSS.
- At least 2 years of experience creating and implementing SQL.
- Strong knowledge of SOA, RESTful API design, and API consumption within React applications.
- Experience with end-to-end testing using Playwright or similar tools and with the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Bitbucket/Git, Spring Tool Suite, IntelliJ IDEA, VS Code, and application debugging and performance tuning.
- Experience building, deploying, and supporting Spring Boot microservices on AWS.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, communication, learning, and independent-work abilities.
- Experience with Struts, Angular, Postman, Hibernate, WebLogic, Jenkins or other continuous integration tools, Putty, Splunk, Artifactory, JIRA, Confluence, Azure, Terraform, SOAP UI, and Dynatrace is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
- Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, or the immediate surrounding area and be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
