Base Salary

$127k - $217k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, detailed design, coding, and unit, integration, functional, and system testing for software features and user stories.
  • Translate system-level requirements into traceable software requirements, models, design artifacts, code, and tests.
  • Lead software system analysis, risk and issue identification, mitigation activities, code reviews, verification, issue resolution, integration, and deployment.
  • Review product and process alignment with project plans and industry standards while tracking internal team and supplier performance.
  • Mentor and coach junior software engineers and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple programs.
  • Work with various software programming languages and support customer-focused software solutions for space-based effects and air-domain missions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Java and/or C++ object-oriented programming.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading software development projects.
  • At least 1 year of MATLAB experience.
  • Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required, and active TS/SCI is preferred.
  • Preferred qualifications include a relevant Bachelor of Science degree and 5–17+ years of related or directly related experience depending on level.
  • Familiarity with physics-based modeling software, DevSecOps tools and practices, Git, GitLab, or CMake.
  • Preferred exposure to Linux, Windows, MATLAB Coder, and Agile software development processes.
  • Strong computing, communication, customer-orientation, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
  • Successful completion of Boeing’s CodeVue technical assessment and compliance with conflict-of-interest, export-control, and drug-free-workplace requirements.
