Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve AWS infrastructure, including autoscaling, new services, cost efficiency, authentication, and search optimization.
- Maintain systems using EC2, S3, Load Balancer, and RDS, and automate and optimize service deployments.
- Deliver full-stack web applications to production and identify and resolve operational issues.
- Gather technical requirements with customers and execute application design and implementation independently.
- Refactor legacy application code for reliability and maintainability, write and debug code, and develop applications backed by relational databases.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Produce detailed documentation, support security requirements with the A&A Team, and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
- At least 8 years of IT experience.
- TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
- Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements through Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA certification.
- Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Experience automating tasks with Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.
- Extensive TypeScript or JavaScript experience, including Angular frontend development and UI/UX design.
- Experience with microservice-based backend architecture, REST APIs, PaaS environments, relational databases, and full-stack applications.
- Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, CI/CD implementation, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevOps development processes.
- Experience with AWS APIs or AWS CLI and at least one of Python, Ruby, Java, or Go.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Markdown, portal development, and PostgreSQL is desired.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is desired.
