Responsibilities
- Build and maintain an Excel Web Add-in for finance teams.
- Develop cloud APIs for report execution and results coordination.
- Create a secure on-prem connector service for SQL Server access.
- Design and optimize SQL queries and schemas for analytics.
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
- Translate business needs into technical use cases and designs.
- Define system boundaries and data flows.
- Break down larger initiatives into manageable work items.
- Review designs and implementations from other developers.
- Establish standards for performance, security, and maintainability.
- Act as a technical partner to product and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to AI-assisted features across the platform.
Requirements
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- 8–12 years of software development experience with complex production systems.
- Genuine architecture experience with the ability to diagram system components.
- Strong .NET / ASP.NET Core backend experience; Node.js/TypeScript experience is a plus.
- Advanced SQL Server expertise, including query performance tuning and schema design.
- Front-end development skills using TypeScript and React or similar frameworks.
- Experience with Excel add-ins using Office.js or VSTO is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale, data-intensive systems.
- Familiarity with Azure fundamentals and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with AI-assisted features or integrating LLM capabilities is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with abstract requirements.
