Responsibilities
- Translate business and technical requirements into detailed design specifications for application code and modules.
- Provide design recommendations and develop, integrate, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable, and secure software.
- Develop enterprise software within a multifunctional agile team and align solutions with agreed architecture designs.
- Analyze development requirements, provide design options and complexity estimates, and plan efficient delivery.
- Create and execute automated tests to maintain software quality.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, technical specialists, and team members to deliver customer and business requirements.
- Conduct code reviews with junior staff and coach and mentor team members.
- Drive continuous improvements that increase operational efficiency and results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- At least five years of experience in software architecture design and development.
- Knowledge of architecture design guidelines, development practices, and distributed system design and implementation.
- Expertise in Java, Python, and/or JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud technology, SQL, databases, programming styles, frameworks, design patterns, unit testing, and secure coding.
- Understanding of security implications and practical experience with agile development tools such as JIRA.
- Experience with Test Driven Development and/or Behavior Driven Development.
- Experience with emerging technology such as AI is advantageous.
- Fluent spoken and written English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to write clean, readable code and reusable components and work effectively under pressure.
