Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable JavaFX-based desktop applications.
- Define application architecture, design patterns, and coding standards for desktop projects.
- Build reusable UI frameworks, custom JavaFX controls, and components.
- Integrate desktop clients with APIs, databases, and backend services.
- Collaborate with architects, product teams, and business analysts on requirements.
- Review code and provide constructive technical mentorship to team members.
- Optimize performance, debug complex issues, and ensure application reliability.
Requirements
- 3-8 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in Java with strong object-oriented design skills.
- Experience with JavaFX, FXML, Scene Builder, and JavaFX CSS styling.
- Familiarity with MVC/MVVM architecture and UI state management patterns.
- Skills in multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
- Comfort with Maven or Gradle and Git.
- Knowledge of APIs, JSON, and relational databases including Postgres, MySQL, or SQLite.
- Strong troubleshooting, profiling, and performance optimization capabilities.
- Interest in desktop frameworks, AI/GenAI integration, or engineering tool domains.
