Responsibilities
- Build unified interfaces encapsulating dozens of third-party payment integrations.
- Own backend system architecture and implementation for a core revenue platform.
- Build performant, resilient, and secure data flows for cross-border remittances.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, Customer Support, Growth, and other teams to ship working features.
- Evaluate and deliver timeline estimates while managing conflicting priorities and stakeholder expectations.
- Contribute to team culture, processes, and engineering norms as an early team member.
Requirements
- Have 7+ years of professional experience building backend systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Kotlin or Java and the JVM.
- Demonstrate proficiency with PostgreSQL.
- Have experience with AWS services including S3, SQS, SNS, and Lambda.
- Have experience implementing and managing complex third-party API integrations.
- Have experience developing systems with real-world performance and reliability constraints.
- Have experience working in collaborative, multifunctional, and fast-paced environments.
- Communicate effectively, manage conflicting priorities, set stakeholder expectations, and drive work forward.
