Base Salary
$160k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the cloud infrastructure platform using infrastructure as code practices.
- Build containerized infrastructure and select managed cloud services for software development needs.
- Design and build CI/CD tools, automation, and secure deployment practices.
- Implement highly available, reliable, scalable, and high-performing cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and logging solutions.
- Collaborate with security, product, development, systems integration, and QA teams to deliver robust and compliant systems.
- Lead engineers responsible for infrastructure, site reliability, and engineering productivity systems.
- Own and contribute to the design and implementation of Scout’s internal developer portal and overall developer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 12+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer, systems architect, or software engineer focused on platform systems.
- Proficiency building automation with Python, Shell, Ruby, or similar languages.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes, configuration management tools, CI/CD tools, cloud platforms, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience designing and developing platform integrations, automations, and developer experiences using Rust, Go, Python, or Java.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, teaching, and coaching skills.
