
Lead Python Network Automation Engineer
Wells FargoResponsibilities
- Create API-driven integrations between network platforms and internal systems.
- Develop and maintain Python automation frameworks that improve reliability and reduce operational toil.
- Translate manual operational procedures into codified, repeatable automation.
- Automate product deployments, customer journeys, and API creation for products and services.
- Ensure automation artifacts meet performance, maintainability, security, compliance, privacy, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with network engineering and platform teams on broader architectural strategies.
- Use and validate AI-assisted tools for system design, coding, testing, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Apply technical judgment to account for AI model limitations, security risks, and operational considerations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 3+ years of Python development experience.
- Proficiency building Python automation tooling, integrations, and workflow orchestration.
- Experience with Nautobot is highly desired.
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Google ADK/A2A, AG-UI, and other open-source libraries for AI workflows.
- Experience with the OpenAI API specification and interfaces to enterprise models.
- Experience with MCP, Django, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, React, FastAPI, OAuth, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Ability to consume and build APIs with authentication, schema validation, error handling, and versioning.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub or comparable source control.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise environments with change control and structured processes.
- Extensive expertise in microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on Ansible experience developing reusable playbooks, roles, and modules for network automation.
- Experience with legacy infrastructure and cloud infrastructure, including OpenShift, Cloud Foundry, and Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of Unix, Linux, MongoDB, and Postman.
